High-Fidelity Export: Downloading Dubbed MP4s and Clean Audio Tracks
When your dubbing project is ready, Stra.ai gives you a wide range of export options so you can take the files wherever you need them. Whether you want a finished video ready to upload, isolated audio tracks for a video editor, or just the subtitle file, everything is available from one place. This guide covers every option.
How to start the export
Click the Download button in the top right corner of the dubbing editor. This opens the download panel showing all available file options.
Some options say Render and Download instead of just Download. This means the file needs to be processed and compiled before it can be exported. Click Render and Download to start the process. A loader will appear showing a Rendering and Generating files status.
You do not need to stay on the page while rendering. Stra.ai will send a link to your email when the files are ready to download. Once processing is complete all options change to a simple Download button.
The export options
Final output is the complete finished video with the dubbed audio embedded. This is the file you use if you want to upload the video as-is to YouTube, a broadcast platform, or any other destination. Available as MP4.
Dub audio is the full dubbed audio track including voices and background. Available as MP4 or WAV. Use this if you want to bring the audio into an external editor or replace the audio track in an existing video file.
Dub voice only is the dubbed voices with no background music or effects. Available as MP4 or WAV. Use this when you want to mix the voices yourself in post.
Dub voice only split exports the dubbed voices separated from the background as a ZIP file. Use this when you need the individual elements for professional audio mixing.
Original audio only is the full original source audio before any dubbing was applied. Useful as a reference or for hybrid workflows where you want to combine original and dubbed audio manually.
Original BG only is the background music and sound effects track with all voices removed. This is the separated BGM processed during project setup.
Subtitle SRT is the translated subtitle file for the project. The same SRT you would use for subtitle-only workflows.
Choosing the right files for your workflow
If you just want to publish the finished video, download Final output and you are done.
If you are taking the project into a video editor like Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro, download Dub voice only and Original BG only separately. This gives you full control over levels, mixing, and any final audio adjustments before export.
If you need the highest quality audio for broadcast or professional delivery, use the WAV format options where available.
If a client or platform needs subtitle files alongside the video, download both Final output and the Subtitle SRT together.
